Director's Statement

Eliphaz is a gothic ghost story set within the Victorian era. The story centers around a woman that has been condemned to a place that strives to deprive her of the only thing she has left in this world… her hope. Woven into its narrative are themes of faith, perseverance and ultimately hope with the Book of Job as its inspirational cornerstone.

As with many of the films I’ve made since childhood with my twin brother, we two-man teamed this movie into existence. It still surprises me what we were able to accomplish from learning to tile floors, build and design the primary set, construct custom furniture and discover how to effectively create practical effects. Through strenuous trail and error this film was built on nothing less than steadfast perseverance.

Our hope is that we’ve created something special, a film that is both spine-chilling and connects on a spiritual level.
